The bay side, from Sandwich to Brewster, is calmer and warmer, with tidal flats that run out half a mile at low water. Rentals are mostly shingled houses and cottages booked Saturday to Saturday in July and August; June and September have the same beaches with room to park.

The cottage was built in 2018 and is incredibly cozy with unobstructed views of Mayo Beach and Wellfleet Harbor. It also has excellent privacy and high-end amenities. The house includes central heat and air conditioning in each bedroom as well as the living room. It has a modern kitchen with a beautiful dining nook. The beach cottage is layed out in a ""C"" configuration with each of two mirror-image bedrooms having queen-sized, incredibly comfortable beds, on either end.
