August marks the peak of summer on Alabama’s Gulf coast, with days that stretch lazily into late evenings under a sun that warms the sugar-white sands to perfection. The breezes from the sea can be cooler than expected in the evening; bring a light jacket or a scarf for comfort. As you stroll through Sunrise Village 210, beachfront condos offer easy access to the water, but be aware that some of the local shops may close early as residents and visitors alike take full advantage of the long days by the shore.

After landing in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach, head straight to the beach for a sunset walk. The soft hues of orange and pink will set the tone for your stay, making the perfect backdrop for your arrival.
